About this role:
• Financial and taxation work for a broad range of clients.
• Review and check of client work when completed by other staff members. Mentor and train other team members.
• Understand the role of Senior Accountant which includes maintaining strong financials and tax compliance, communicating with clients, Partners and staff and to understand the limits placed on the role by law.
• Be proactive and driven in helping the business grow and expand.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that duties are completed in line with PPT Accounting’s expectations.
• Manage workflow across the team and ensure performance outcomes are on track. Communicate with other PPT employees so that workflow can be prioritised and tasks are completed.
• Accountable for ensuring that direct reports are meeting their KPIs.
• Respond to all clients and staff of PPT within one business day.
• Complete reviews of staff work within 3 business days.
• Manage delays/issues and advise Partner where appropriate. Liaise with clients and other staff to obtain the information to resolve blockages in workflow.
• Manage and ensure invoices are accurate and issued immediately at conclusion of each job or progressively.
• Ensure the write off level for the team is within target.
• Improve work processes to strengthen workflow, productivity and client value.
• Maintain and grow the client base.
• Practice strong communication skills, particularly with Partners, as well as sharing and imparting knowledge and experience throughout the team.
• Share and uphold our company mission and values.
• Keep work desk clean and tidy.
• The client allows a hybrid (FWA) setup, but only after the initial 3-month onsite setup in Clark.
Qualifications / Skills:
• Previous experience as an Intermediate Accountant is required.
• Proficient with all the software packages used by PPT in the management of finance and tax, including Microsoft products, Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Virtual Cabinet, XPA, CCH and APS.
• Ability to work well with clients and staff of PPT. Be able to liaise with all staff to ensure the best outcome for clients.
• Strong technical and literacy skills enabling risks and client opportunities to be identified. Devise solutions for clients and deliver the work to create the solution.
• Confidence to be able to express opinions in a constructive manner including having exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Willing to learn, acquire new skills and take on new tasks. Look to develop key areas of specialist knowledge.
